The Ideal Ayurvedic Morning Routine

1. Wake Up During Brahma Muhurta

(90 minutes before sunrise)
Promotes clarity, energy, and creativity.

2. Tongue Scraping

Removes toxins (Ama) and improves taste perception.

3. Oil Pulling

Swishing sesame or coconut oil improves oral health and detoxifies.

4. Warm Water + Lemon

Stimulates digestion and metabolism.

5. Abhyanga (Self-Oil Massage)

Warm sesame oil calms the nervous system and improves circulation.

6. Yoga & Pranayama

  • Surya Namaskar

  • Anulom Vilom

  • Kapalbhati

7. Light, Warm Breakfast

Easily digestible foods to ignite the digestive fire (Agni).


Evening Routine

  • No heavy meals after 8 pm

  • Warm herbal tea (ginger, tulsi, or chamomile)

  • Screen detox 1 hour before bed

  • Sleep by 10–10:30 pm
